GoDaddy manages DNS for domains registered or hosted through their platform. If your website is built with GoDaddy's website builder, you can add a Trust Center subdomain directly from the GoDaddy DNS Manager — no GoDaddy website editor changes needed.
Adding the CNAME record in GoDaddy
- Log in to your GoDaddy account
- Go to My Products and find your domain
- Click the three-dot menu and select Manage DNS
- Under CNAME records, click Add
- Set Name to
trust - Set Value to
trustcenter.pro - Set TTL to 1 Hour (3600 seconds)
- Click Save
Propagation
GoDaddy DNS changes typically propagate within 10–30 minutes. Your trust center will be accessible at https://trust.yourdomain.com once propagation is complete.
GoDaddy website builder and compliance
GoDaddy's website builder includes a basic privacy policy template, but it generates static text that must be manually updated when laws change and doesn't include a DSAR form. Trust Center provides a fully maintained compliance hub without requiring any changes to your GoDaddy website builder pages.
GoDaddy domains used with other platforms
GoDaddy is one of the world's largest domain registrars, so many websites on Shopify, Wix, WordPress, Squarespace, and other platforms have their domain registered at GoDaddy. If that's your situation, follow the same DNS Manager steps above to add the Trust Center CNAME — the process is the same regardless of where your website is actually hosted.
Adding a footer link
In the GoDaddy website builder, open the footer section, add a text block, and link it to https://trust.yourdomain.com. Save and publish your site.
