Setting up Trust Center on Carrd

Carrd is a fast, minimal website builder for one-page sites. Custom domains require Carrd Pro. Adding a Trust Center subdomain takes a single CNAME record at your domain registrar — no Carrd configuration needed beyond what you've already done for your main domain.

How Carrd connects to custom domains

Carrd connects your custom domain by asking you to add A records or a CNAME at your registrar. Your DNS is managed externally. To add a Trust Center subdomain, you add a second CNAME record alongside your existing Carrd configuration.

Adding the CNAME record

Log in to your domain registrar and open DNS management. Add a new record:

Type: CNAME
Name: trust
Value: trustcenter.pro

This is separate from the records Carrd uses for your main site. Your Carrd site at yourdomain.com is unaffected.

Why even simple Carrd sites need compliance

Carrd sites that use contact forms, embed email sign-up widgets (Mailchimp, ConvertKit), or run Google Analytics collect personal data and need a privacy policy. Even a minimal one-page site with a contact form must disclose how that form data is processed. A Trust Center subdomain provides a complete compliance page without cluttering your minimal Carrd design.

Linking from your Carrd site

In the Carrd editor, add a text or button element to your site footer (or a dedicated navigation bar if your theme supports it) and link it to https://trust.yourdomain.com. Keeping the link small — "Privacy & Legal" in the footer — is standard practice for minimal site designs.
