Squarespace manages DNS for domains registered or transferred through their platform. Adding a Trust Center takes a few minutes in the Squarespace domain panel.
Adding the DNS record in Squarespace
- In your Squarespace dashboard, go to Settings → Domains
- Click your domain name
- Select Advanced Settings, then Custom Records
- Click Add Record
- Set Record Type to CNAME
- Set Host to
trust - Set Data to
trustcenter.pro - Click Save
Domain registered elsewhere
If your domain is registered outside Squarespace (GoDaddy, Google Domains, etc.), log in to your registrar and add the same CNAME record there. The Squarespace site does not need to be changed.
Squarespace's built-in privacy page vs Trust Center
Squarespace provides a basic privacy policy page generator. It produces a static document that you must manually update when laws change. Trust Center maintains your policies automatically, adds a DSAR form, and serves everything from your own subdomain rather than a page within your Squarespace site.
Adding a footer link
In the Squarespace editor, click your footer, add a new text or button block, type "Trust Center" or "Privacy & Legal", and link it to https://trust.yourdomain.com.
